The Bluffton Symphonic Band is able to operate exclusively through donations from its patrons and receives no financial support from other institutions. Proceeds from donations are used for the purchase of music, equipment, and rental of venue space for performances where required. BSB members receive no financial compensation for their participation in the band.

BSB has a 501 (c) 3 status with the IRS.
